Best Prop Bets for Browns vs. Texans
Joe Flacco prop: Over 269.5 passing yards (-110) at bet365
Joe Flacco made four starts and led the Browns in passing yards, throwing for 1616 yards with 13 scoring strikes and eight interceptions. It was evident to all who saw Cleveland play this season that none of the other four quarterbacks making a start for the Browns this season was allowed to throw the ball more than Flacco, nor did they enjoy the same success.
The Browns signal-caller has thrown for 300+ in his last four games and lit up the Texans at Houston on Christmas Eve for 368 passing yards with three scoring strikes and a pair of interceptions. He meets a Houston passing defense, allowing the 23rd-most passing yards per game (234.1) and 239 yards at home this season. bet365 offers the best number and is more than doable playing indoors against the Texans’ zone defense.
Joe Flacco prop: Over 1.5 passing TDs (+120) at FanDuel
Flacco didn’t just step off the bus and get lucky with Cleveland. He’s slung 245 TD passes over a career-spanning 16 seasons. Flacco has thrown 25 playoff-scoring strikes and cleared the oddsmakers’ number in all five games he’s played this season, including three against this same Houston defense in this building.
Browns’ head coach Kevin Stefanski has given his veteran gunslinger the green light, and throwing playoff touchdowns is what Flacco does. Houston allows just one TD reception per game, but Flacco has beaten them before, and if the Browns do indeed win this game, it will be because their veteran quarterback threw at least two touchdown passes.
C.J. Stroud prop: Under 20.5 completions (-107) at FanDuel
Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud has had a phenomenal rookie season, but he’s up against a tough Cleveland defense, allowing an NFL-best 18.5 completions per game.
The biggest hurdle Stroud will have to climb is keeping his jersey clean. The Texans’ offensive line has allowed 47 sacks, and Stroud has been dumped 38 times this season and 16 times over his last five.
That isn’t good against a Browns defense ranked first in completions allowed and 18.5 completions allowed away from Cleveland. The Browns have defended a third-best 91 passes and have 18 interceptions on the season thanks to an aggressive pass rush averaging 2.9 sacks per game. Stroud will likely be overwhelmed on Saturday and fail to clear the number.
