Wembanyama opened as the top favorite, but the San Antonio Spurs are riding the struggle bus and hoping to end a 17-game losing skid. The Spurs rookie leads the board in scoring, rebounds, and blocks, but the San Antonio woes might cost him the Rookie of the Year. Miami Heat rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. has been a breath of fresh air for the Heat. Miami has dealt with injuries, but Jaquez has played in 22 of the 23 games for the eighth-seed Heat. Minutes equal money, and Jaquez gets 27 minutes a night for a possible championship team. BetRivers has the best odds (+6000), while FanDuel and PointsBet have +5000 on their boards.

Dallas Mavericks rookie center Dereck Lively is playing solid minutes and is the Mavs’ second-leading rebounder. Lively is third on the rookie board in blocks, scoring 8.7 points but should continue to see minutes for the third-best team in the West. Finally, Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller has found a full-time job with the third-worst team in the East. Miller has filled the stat sheet in several offensive categories and is fourth amongst his rookie class in scoring. Miller has odds as high as +25000 at BetRivers.
