We’re heading into Championship weekend, the last chance for some of our Heisman hopefuls to sway voters’ minds ahead of the December 4 ballot submission date. Oregon quarterback Bo Nix had another huge day and replaced LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels on the BetMGM leaderboard.

Let’s look closer at the BetMGM 2023 Heisman Futures board and see if any value is left on the board.

Three of our five leaders have one final chance to impress the Heisman voters. The ballots are due by December 4, 2023.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels and Ohio State Buckeyes wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. have concluded their regular seasons. Both are great players coming off fine seasons, but neither should win the 2023 Heisman.

The 2023 Heisman Trophy will likely be awarded to either Bo Nix or Michael Pennix Jr. Luckily for them, they will meet one more time on Friday night to decide the Pac-12 championship. Both quarterbacks have spent time as the BetMGM favorite, and the Heisman winner will likely be either Nix or Penix Jr.

That’s not to say Georgia quarterback Carson Beck doesn’t have a chance to overtake Nix and/or Penix Jr. because he does. The Bulldogs have a tough matchup in the SEC Final with No. 8 Alabama, but if he could sway some voters with a big game on Saturday.

Heisman Longshot with a Shot

The 2023 Heisman Trophy awardee will likely be decided Friday night, but I have three additional names I want you to consider before making a wager.

Michigan Wolverines running back Blake Corum has a legitimate chance to snatch the 2023 Heisman away from everyone. He leads the nation with 20 rushing touchdowns on far fewer snaps than another name we’ve discussed this season.

He scored two TDs against Ohio State, and a big game against Iowa in the Big Ten championship game might be all he needs to end his amazing collegiate career as the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner.

Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II leads the nation in rushing yards and second to Michigan running back Blake Corum with 20 rushing touchdowns. His Cowboys team meets Texas in the Big 12 Championship, and a huge game Saturday against Texas and an Oklahoma State victory could land the sophomore running back the 2023 Heisman.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe is a +15000 longshot. Still, his fourth-down desperation heave for the winning TD over Auburn in the Iron Bowl, and a huge game with a victory over Georgia could indeed sway some of the Heisman voters.
