Caleb Williams, QB USC Trojans (+350)
Williams has been the favorite from day 1. He’s the reigning Heisman Award winner, and last Saturday against Stanford threw for 281 yards with three scoring strikes while scampering for another. Williams hasn’t thrown an interception this season but has a pair of tough away games the next two weeks against Arizona State and Colorado.
Michael Penix Jr, QB Washington Huskies (+550)
Penix Jr. saw his Heisman Trophy odds soar after throwing for 473 yards and four TD passes on the road last Saturday at Michigan State. Penix Jr. leads the nation in passing yards and tied for second with Williams with a dozen scoring strikes. Washington has Cal next week at home, and his stock will soar if he slings his fourth-consecutive 400+ yard passing day.
Quinn Ewers, QB Texas Longhorns (+600)
Ewers has leaped to the third favorite position on the BetMGM board. Ewers threw for just 131 yards and a pair of TDs at Wyoming and likely is being rewarded by the public for his stellar play against Alabama. Ewers could be in line for a big night when the No. 3 ranked Longhorns meet 1-2 Baylor Saturday night in Waco.
Sam Hartman, QB Notre Dame (+950)
Hartman has catapulted himself to the fourth favorite with his stellar play this season. Hartman leads the country in TD passes (13) for the No. 9 Fighting Irish. Hartman threw for 330 yards and a trio of TD passes last week against Central Michigan, but the real test will come Saturday when Notre Dame hosts No. 6 Ohio State.
Jordan Travis, QB Florida State (+1100)
Travis saw his stock tumble from the second favorite to fifth. After a big night on national TV against LSU, Travis has put up pedestrian numbers against Rice and threw for 212 yards and a pair of scoring strikes in Week 3’s 31-29 away victory over Boston College. His stock could plummet further when his No. 4 ranked Seminoles travel Saturday to face Clemson.
